A "friend of a friend" paid around $500.00 on a Pomeranian puppy for his kids a while back...but it was not a good match for his family. The dog is now about a year old,and e wants to give it away, rather than take it to a pound. Anyone want the poor, soon-to-be-homeless" pooch? I don't have all the details, but can get a contact number if you PM me.

Sounds like a dog for Gridbug.
(might trade for mine, I went out to deposit the rent and grab some stuff for breakfast, came home and he'd pulled the bag of dog food off the counter and ate it all.)

Maybe Strega needs a snack?

Strega was just acting out. He's been doing that a lot in the past 6 months, more since I started telecommuting. He's concluded that I should *always* be home with him or taking him somewhere. When that's not the case, he gets into stuff. He's about to relearn the meaning of a crate.

It's about to get "cagey" at the WarKitty residence?

My wife did the same thing.
And I damn sure learned my lesson.

Let me check with some friends. That dog is too big for my girls, but I have some friends that might be interested. Why is the dog not a good match??? Improper training on the kids part?

Personally, I would love a Pomeranian. I'm not sure my Crack Russel Terrorist would agree.

I could see if Strega got along with the little bugger too, but that's assuming it's potty trained.

I'd love to help out, poms are so cute. But now I have two dogs, with two hands I can only handle two leashes. I'm at my limit.

Just drop it off next to any Chinese resturant, they'll have him for dinner that very day!!!!!!!!!

Nope. Poms are teeny & all fur. Not even worth the trouble to wok the dog.

Seriously, if your buddies will allow an "introduction and testing" to see if their dog and Strega would be friends I'd be willing to take it in. I was considering getting him a mini-pin buddy, a pom is acceptable too.

The issue is that the kids wanted a puppy---now they don't want anything to do with it. I'm assuming that at nearly a year old, it is housebroken (I'd have given it to a Chinese restaurant after about 2 weeks of "accidents"), but have little more information. I have someone in line to adopt, should all the stars align, etc. If it falls through, I'll let y'all know. Should know by tomorrow afternoon. Thank you all for being so willing to help.
