A Tennessee man, angry with his neighbor for making noise while stomping snow from his feet, was arrested for brandishing a shotgun and making threats. According to an incident report from the Kingsport Police Department, the neighbor, identified as Michael C. Pickel, 39, stated he returned to the decking area of the apartment complex after starting his vehicle. Pickel said he was stomping snow from his feet when the door to Apartment No. 12 opened, and John C. Shepardson exited with a shotgun. According to the police report, Shepardson allegedly pointed the shotgun at Pickel and said, "You're going to get it, your day is going to come!" Shepardson stated, 'I never stepped outside my apartment with the shotgun, I've told him not to stomp his feet" because it awakened someone else who was sleeping in his apartment. Shepardson is charged with aggravated assault. Story.

There are responsible gun owners. Then there are a lot of people like this.
Did anyone tell him a shotgun is louder than stomping?

That's what silencers are for.

I really don't think they make a silencer for a shot gun. I might be wrong. Just a thought

"OK put the shotgun away, fire it, or expect a knife in your eye" ten seconds...

If you're going to shoot, shoot! Don't talk. Buy your shotgun silencer hereOddly enough, it's a British company. Shotgun silencers work, but not as effectively as they do for other firearms. I would suspect it would work better for a slug than shot, though.
