Texas Tech University's "Body Art Team" surveyed 1,753 students at four colleges and found a CORRELATION between multiple tattoos or piercings and "deviant behavior." LinkThe more body art you have, the more likely you are to be involved in deviance?

"I always look for a woman who has a tattoo. I see a woman with a tattoo, and I'm thinking, okay, here's a gal who's capable of making a decision she'll regret in the future." ~ Richard Jeni

I was going to post this in the video section earlier but got distracted.
That tongue tattoo is pretty cool looking I must say. Never seen anything like it.

People who are open to getting a tattoo are probably open to other things that are outside the mainstream norm. That the mainstream calls those other things deviant doesn't make them wrong. Some people think any kind of sex except the missionary position is deviant. Piss on 'em. (Full disclosure: I have no tattoos.

Yoda! Leave Babs alone.
I've been a little deviant in my day. But there is no ink on my skin.

Deviance and perversion are much like a contact lens, in the eye of the beholder.

Yoda! Leave Babs alone. I've been a little deviant in my day. But there is no ink on my skin. Only because it was not trendy when we were that age. It has only come into mainstream in the past 10 or so years. By then we were grown with kids and had bills to pay.

If having grandchildren is the measure of "old" then I shall be forever young!

If having grandchildren is the measure of "old" then I shall be forever young! You, Karen and I [grin] I'm sure there is some "LAW" that states that if the child is living at home when grand baby is born you are NOT officially old.. [grin]

Got my first ink done last August. It's been nothing but debauchery since then...
and I've never looked back.

I have one tat. It was done in the summer of '69 within a few days of that "one giant step for mankind". It was made with a needle wrapped in string dipped in india ink. It is the number 13, some of you will know what that means, some won't.

So if tattoos are "sinful" I guess my great grandfather was an incredibly sinful man (despite his years of military service or perhaps because of them, and despite his years as a fireman)

I have three grandkids, and I don't feel old.
Except for my ankle when the weather is bad.

So if tattoos are "sinful" I guess my great grandfather was an incredibly sinful man (despite his years of military service or perhaps because of them, and despite his years as a fireman) Time was, you saw an old salt around the bars, you could count on either some great stories about travel, work, or wartime, or you could count on one HELL of a fight. That ink STOOD for something, experiences of a lifetime, debts paid for those who could never repay enough, rites of passage unspoken and unforgettable. THOSE guys were our granddads, Kitty, and thank God for them!

It was my great grandfather's example that I was following in deciding to get tattoos. Mine mean something, to me if to no one else, and I don't tend to share the story of them. Most people I know with tattoos have a story behind each one.
and yes, even in the retirement home after all his peers and in fact all his children had died leaving him only with grandchildren and great grandchildren to visit him, he remembered where he got each one and why.... and the telling of their tales brought his youth back to his voice and his eyes.

You are only as old as you feel.I'm 45 but on most days I feel like I'm 21 on others perhaps 91 LOL.No tats only scars, they have better stories behind them anyway.Right now I have a fresh one on my back about 8 inches long from a chop saw.

There was this one event that involved an abandoned gold mine, a can of gasoline, and a boomerang...
Wait, that's not important right now: We're talking about tattoos.

If the Bible were against it, I would be too, but since it's not against them, except for content of tattoos, does that mean you're for them?
