Help Haiti beware

PLEASE DO NOT "HELP" HAITI FROM A LINK YOU GOT IN AN EMAIL...

Go to one of the official sites, log in and help them there.
A) pretty much any legitimate site won't know your email
B) lets not make the asshats richer by being stupid.

There are many ways to help the relief efforts in Haiti. There is the Red Cross, UMCOR, Catholic Relief Services, the Salvation Army, the ISNA, the JDC, Doctors without Borders and many other legitimate charities.

Also, if you want to do something a little more hands on you can assemble health kits and send them to UMCOR for distribution. Giving blood is another option for hands on help.

Good point, Mikey. GiveWell is a good resource to use to determine the effectiveness of any charity you might be inclined to give to.

If all else fails, go to your local Salvation Army or Red Cross office. I'm sure they would be happy to make sure your money goes to help the needy.

I will give the Salvation Army. I will give to Jerry's Kids. I will never give to the Red Cross. Ask our service men. No one sent us a can of beans after Katrina. Go to Appalachia. American money should be spent here first. No, I am not against helping other nations. But this country should come first. Oh, maybe I am speaking out of turn. After all, my husband lost his job and has cancer. I can't pay my water bill. No, I am not worried about people killing other people because they feel sorry for themselve instead of helping themselves.

Actually, other nations tried to help us after Katrina, but the help was refused,IIRC.

Maybe you should get your priorities straight, pay your water bill and forget about your internet service connection provider (ISP). I smell even more bullshit and the wind is increasingly coming from your direction.
