I could be classified as a gun club but we all know that only thugs can carry in the park Well... Anyone can carry in the park.. As far as laws go, that's a different story..

There is no way in God's green earth that I will go to Coolidge Park. Period. Want good pictures, Goforth Creek, Watson Falls, Little River Canyon, Dry River Falls, Amnilacola Falls, Chickamauga Creek. I won't even mention Niagra. Or any place in Oregon. But, downtown Chatt - ain't no way in Hell.

There is no way in God's green earth that I will go to Coolidge Park. Period. and you had to tell us because?? Sorry but we won't miss you. Meeting under the Market st bridge around six thirty I expect 10-30 people based on emails and messages, so I doubt we'll have any problems. I have two models confirmed so when we "paint with light" we don't have to "paint" each other. (you will also meet them and have the opportunity to hire them for a later shoot. (good for the ole portfolio) )

Unjustifiably so. Grab your camera and come out & have fun! Or hide at home and wait for the pictures of what you missed.

We're having dinner with Felix's step mom tonight as a late birthday event. Hate to miss the photo shoot, but she is such a delightful lady! And, for the record, I have NO qualms about Coolidge (sp) Park before dark. When I used to work 2nd shift, I drove by on my way home about midnight. Used to see groups of about 20 or 30 kids crossing Frazier headed that way. Didn't someone stop at that red light a few years ago and get their car rocked around?

We had a great Phoso Safari, but I must admit there were certainly some shady characters present. Happily the police were ready to deal with the riff-raff.

That model on the bike looks just like a real cop Any time I shoot in ANY park, I make sure the rangers/security knows I'm there, how many in my party and what we're doing. Although I never say anything, they keep an eye out and check on us every little while.

I too had a lot of fun. I know that I have to practice with my camera in low light. I did get one that I like but it wasn't a low light photo.

I see you got a chance to reply before someone got a bit too power-hungry w/ the delete button... We had a great Phoso Safari I'm glad everything went well and that you guys were all safe.

Get over yourself Jay. That park is MUCH SAFER than the Mall or any number of places.
If you're too scared to get out and enjoy our City's fine park system then we won't miss you.

When I say "I'm going to delete off topic posts" I do. Yeah... The only problem is my message was on topic.... Ohwell had a concern in going to Coolidge Park. I said she's probably not the only one who had that concern, and thanked her for giving other places where the group could shoot instead. I think most people would agree that I was staying on topic.

I'm trying to organize an event.
If what you have to say will hurt the event, expect the post to be deleted.
If you want to start a "I'll never go there" thread, go for it.

Her concern was not a concern it was a rant.
She suggested the places she likes to go. If she had asked, about security thats one thing but she made it plain she wasn't going and had no plans to go.

I'm trying to organize an event. If what you have to say will hurt the event, expect the post to be deleted. Neither me nor Ohwell's post is hurting the event. Ohwell gave other suggestions for the photography outing, and I thanked her for giving other suggestions. Her concern was not a concern it was a rant. She suggested the places she likes to go. If she had asked, about security thats one thing but she made it plain she wasn't going and had no plans to go. She wasn't going and had no plans to go because it was at Coolidge Park. Since she's afraid of going there, she gave some other options for the group to go to.
