He holds a Masters Degree in Social Work from Marywood University. Synopsis of Workshop Purpose & nature of workshop: "This workshop will provide a brief overview of the uses of Choice Theory in supporting people with developmental disabilities. Assessment, daily management, crisis intervention, debriefing after an incident and life planning will be reviewed. Time will be devoted to using Choice Theory with verbal and nonverbal people with developmental disabilities. Statement of intended audience: The workshop is intended for parents, direct care staff and clinicians managing people with developmental disabilities. How the workshop will be interactive or experiential: While time will be devoted to providing information, there will be an opportunity for dialog among participants about what is working for them using Choice Theory in the service of people with developmental disabilities. Time will be provided for sharing information and resources.
