Anyone got a measuring tape I can borrow? Just long enough to get some stats on Sadie the chihuahua.

I picked up a key-chain sized one at lowes for a buck or two. Its 1/4" and flexes enough you could use it like a cloth tape. My Mom has a bunch of cloth ones I can pick one up from her if you think that better.

I'll look for the one you describe at Lowes first. I had one like that and must have lost it in one of the 6 or so moves of the past few years.
