Wouldn't it be a hoot if NASA determined that the Toyota unintended acceleration problems were caused by cell phone interference in the cars' electronics?
The solution, then, would be obvious.
EMP.
Hello, comrade. Is Putin in?

The new cars have built in phone jacks in the dashboard. I'm not sure exactly what they DO... Just saw it on the "New Car Preview" edition of Regis and Kelly. They were having much more fun cooing over the fun new colors and the crazy high price tags to actually explain any of the features that they skimmed over.

Actually NHTSA has determined, via a 4.3 million dollar grant, that sudden acceleration is caused by racial profiling, poor environments as young accelerators, pre-eminence of gangs in the accelerator elementary schools, a complete failure by law enforcement and not enough government money infused in low income accelerator households. (And lack of health care for growing accelerators.)
They also found the negative trend is not slowing down.
Other that that, everything is fine.
