hey Bob
My macbook will start up if I take the battery out and start it up but is it goes to sleep I just get a blue screen.
I also have a pc that won't boot up...It's been in a closet for months but I'd like to have it up and running too

I could probably tell you what's wrong with the PC but not the MAC. The place on Gunbarrel is the only place I know that "does" macs. (just past the target complex headed North on the right) I know nothing about their service.

The PC most likely got a virus, it won't boot at all and if I try to start it in safe mode or do a recovery, It won't do right.
I don't have the discs for that machine

What brand PC is it? If it's a Dell and came with windows XP Pro I have a bunch of OEM disks here at work that should work with it to reformat.

okz, I have a MacBook Pro and have used Desktop Solutions, they are off of Jordan drive on the left before you get to the Billiards Club. I had a new HD and some ram put in and everything transferred from one drive to the other. All seemed professional and upfront about costs and the work. They say they do Mac and PC repair. Here is the web addy and address macandpcsolutions.com/Desktop Solutions 103 Jordan Dr. Suite 7 Chattanooga, TN. 37421 Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Mon - Thurs and 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Friday Phone (423) 553-0810 Fax (423) 553-0720 There is also macAuthority out at Hamilton Place, but never been there.

Agree with Desktop Solutions. They did my warranty work when the power supply went out on my iMac. Did a thorough job, and delivered when promised. Can't testify to the cost, as it was warranty work and I didn't have to pay.

what are the specs on that Sony? Vista as far as i know has all the drivers for almost anything. i have used it on several installs on carious PCs and i have never once had to find a driver (other than sound and video updates). if the laptop was running XP, then it should take vista with no problem. then, you wont have to worry about downloading and installing drivers for the laptop.
