The Rehabilitation Act, as amended, requires public hearings to be conducted on the proposed state plans for the Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS). The 2010 public hearings will be held as follows:

Tuesday May 25 Jackson State Office Building, Conference Room #6, Tower B, 225 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive 4:00 p.m. CDT
Tuesday May 25 Johnson City DHS Conference Room, 103 Walnut Street East 4:00 p.m. EDT
Tuesday May 25 Knoxville Career Center, 1610 University Avenue 4:00 p.m. EDT
Thursday June 3 Nashville Marriott Airport 4:30 p.m. CDT
I encourage you to attend at least one of the hearings to give us your valuable suggestions on the state plans. The plans will also be available on our website tn.gov/humanserv/rehab/st_plan.html in mid-May, along with instructions on how comments can be submitted if you cannot attend one of the meetings.
Your input to the proposed state plans is very important to us. A brief summary presentation of the plans will be made by DRS staff prior to the time for input. A draft copy of the plans will be available by May 15 in all DRS offices and on the DRS website tn.gov/humanserv/rehab/st_plan.html. Alternative formats are available upon request from any DRS regional supervisor or through contacting us via the website.
If your program has a newsletter and/or website, we would appreciate this announcement being included in your communication.
