Only Tsavo would beg for a troll as a moderator You know, I can honestly say I've never listened to a minute of him on the radio, partly because of preference (I'm surrounded all day by people to verbally harangue me) and partly because of schedule (he was on when I'm BUSY). But, I've heard of the carnage he wreaks and entertained rumors he made appearances on ALL the local forums, including this one....

In the one instance he personally challenged me (That I know of), and I met the challenge, he was a man of his word and paid up.
Rare, in his world, and mine, so he has that going for him, at least in my book.

I heard him say "The Irish were the niggers of Europe" line this past week. Dang.... That's pretty bad... It's from The Commitments.. and maybe something else too. (Angela's Ashes maybe? I'm not sure about that)

C'mon people, move passed this. Much more happening in this city than just this issue. Look around you and get with the issues at hand. Lets say that if you keep a close eye online here in Chattanooga you will find a new outlet for this insider reporter. Don't let go, don't look the other way and never dispare. All of the disparaging rumors will be answered so watch closely. Can't keep a good man down nor can you tar and feather someone whom you cannot touch. The web is a better outlet and cannot be controlled plus it is not covered in a no compete clause. If you want to show support, call WGOW and when you get on air just say what you want to say and put in real fast in the middle of your sentence " Miss Robert T" and it will pass by Greg before he has a chance to hit the dump button.
Your all missed by R. T I am sure just as you miss him.
Greg............ love ya man.

Well, what is the true skinny ? Sexual harassment, insubordination, or what ? I haven't heard a definitive report on why RT was let go. Who is hiding what ? Just the facts would be nice.

Since both sides are silent, I'll add what I heard from a source I consider reliable....
His overall "On Air" demeanor was too offensive to one non-air person who threatened, or was threatening, a federal lawsuit if he was not let go.
If that has a scintilla of truth to it, WGOW is more cowardly than I had imagined.
The world will not end with R. T. Nash gone from those particular air waves and I am sure we will be listening, or reading, his stuff in the near future. I'm looking forward to it, whatever it is.
I also hear that he is being considered, by County Mayor-Elect Littlefield, as the first Consolidated HCSO/CPD/ATF Public Information Officer.

Well, my wife was listening to Robert T. on his last radio show and he apparently dropped the "N-Bomb" on the air. She was only half listening to it and admits she didn't know in what context it was used, but N-Bombs are never a good idea for ensuring job security in the mass communications industry.

OK can we not all agree his mouth got him fired?
I doubt he did anything off air but bet lots his mouth pushed the wrong button. And as he said here himself, lets move on..

trying to get on-air and drop some "love ya RTN" or "bring back RTN" &trying to get one over on the show's producer is ridiculous. First of all a good show producer (which Greg is) would not miss this and while you are wasting a small amount of his time you are wasting incredibly more amounts or your own time.
waste your time with different (and just as useless) outlets. snail mail, e-mail, calls to the front desk etc..
But the tired old "uh yeah, uh hey I wanna talk about, uh the county commissioner seat in, uh district 8. Yeah I think Curtis Adams is a over tanned over paid idiot, yeah, that's it!"
then just to go all caller kamikaze and drop a "I love Robert T Nash" gag ain't gonna work dawg!

"Hey Twin, whacha drinkin", that crawled all over me. Go get your own stick. Good afternoon Bryan. I didn't think a little love ever hurt anyone till now. Hows things going over there? O and yeah I agree Greg is a great producer and a very handsome man also. He has it going on.

I just found out since I record and listen to WGOW 102.3 on my own time so I am in February.
IMO R.T is the best thing about 102.3 and Andre sounds like he has bought time to run his campaign, they can do that but scramble for the PC nazis when R.T dares make you think or laugh....

MY household has been gloom & boredom between 1 & 4 all week. I miss my friend, RTN. WNOO has an hour of 'talk' between 2 & 3PM each day, thank goodness, but nothing like RTN. What could he (RTN) have done that was so bad that he (RTN) have not been sent to Morristown for a couple days? RT, you know me & you know my better half. Email us. Miss you.

I apparently only chose the wrong days the times I heard RTN. Most of them were a thinly veiled multi-hour commercial thinly veiled as what he did when he visited Advertiser X, and the rest he was just dim & annoying. I'm sure he had good days, I just happened to miss them.
No matter who is in that slot, I think we should all be thankful that Chattanooga actually has LOCAL Talk Radio programming! Love or hate a given host, pertinent local programming is a luxury a lot of cities lack.

I follow The Urban Hipster on twitter. He had a couple of interesting tweets this past week. One said Bill Lockhart fired me "because I thought I was bigger than the station". He also has asked Citadel Corp. From their investigations what findings have they got from the complaints from co-worker(s). Don't think this chapter is over yet for RT amd Citadel.
