The vice principal and the principal of the school were the ones who made the kids go home, not any immigrants.

The immigrants were upset and they didn't want to upset the immigrants.
I wonder if they ban Mexican flags on St Patrick's Day?

Do you people have no respect for the US Flag whatsoever? From US Flag Etiquette StandardsIf the shirt shown in the article is indicative of those worn in the article then it was an advertisement for Old Navy Clothing and should be banned every day. Isn't it funny how those that like to wave the flag so much show it the least respect?

There was a time a good ol' boy was down in Coolidge Park flying an American flag kite with flags hanging off the string. He struck me as one of those that likes to wave the flag but cares little more than that. When he crashed his kite, oh how hard I had to fight the urge to go over there and point out that now that it had touched the ground that he would have to burn it.
I thought his kite and actions disrespectful of our flag, but in the end didn't say anything because I would bet $$$ that he would value his perceived right to punch me in the face over my actual freedom of speech.

But are these examples of people who like to wave the flag? I think they are not.

That is only required for an actual flag, not a representation of one. There is a difference.

I agree with gridBug. The flag of the United of America should be saluted not worn.

Not yet, for Mrs. Bear and I anyway. But in 3 to 5 years we will retire to Mexico or Costa Rica as we will not be able to retire comforatably in this country.

The answer to the question is no we do not live in Mexico. No WE do not. Most of the hispanic community around here comes from Guatemala and Honduras. If you are in Texas (pronounced te-has) or California then yes, you live in Mexico.
