File this under "We can't believe they did a survey to tell us this." An online poll revealed something many women have always known. The South is home to more Momma's Boys than anywhere else. A coupon Web site asked men aged 25 and up about their mothers just in time for Sunday's holiday. Grown men in Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia are more likely than those anywhere else to talk to mom every day. Maybe it's a phone call or a text or an e-mail. But southern gentlemen remain loyal to the ones that brought them into the world. As the wife of one of these Momma's Boys, this reporter doesn't think it's necessarily a bad label. You can, after all, tell a lot about a man by the way he treats his mother. AJC

I agree.. nothing says more than how someone treats their parents. Especially Mother.

Y'know what I don't like about a Momma's boy?
Seems he's always expecting the partner to be "mommy" and do everything for him (I swear, some of 'em would like us to wipe their butts too). Thanks, but no thanks.

I think my hubby kind of likes the fact that I'm as big a slob as he is. But then, his mother makes Martha Stewart look messy. My mother in law actually PINS the sheets to the bottom of the mattress so you CAN NOT un-tuck them. Drives me nuts. I like a heavy blanket that I can stick my feet out from under and hubby likes a light quilt. Therefore, we never make the bed at home and have a really hard time sleeping in the "Gotta share the perma-tucked sheets" bed when we go visit.

You know, I've never been able to get that bed to do a darned thing! It just lies there. Maybe I should beat it?

Old habits die hard. "Garlic? Momma never put garlic in anything when she made dinner for us." No, because Momma raised six kids without a daddy and had to duct-tape their shoes together. Garlic was a luxury, as was anything else that didn't grow out in the yard.
