Thursday, May 20th, the annual Memorial Service will be held at 600 Market Street in Chattanooga to honor all area Law Enforcement Officers who've lost their lives in the line of duty. This year Sheriff Hammond and his staff plus a committee of volunteers have researched the list of fallen officers in an effort to find members of surviving families, many of whom have not attended or even been aware of this Service. A lot of family members have been found and have been invited to attend, and are coming from across the country, which should help to make this the largest, most complete Memorial Service ever held here.
