Ok, pardon the "proud mom moment"... My son won the "Best Male" in the Spirit week dress up competition. Two of the days were "Twin Day" and "Dress like a teacher Day" , and we did not get photos of those because they didn't 'look' like costumes. Here are his other three. Celeberty Day - Weird Al Yankovic (can's spell!) Decade Day - 1980's Pirate vs. Ninja Day - Software Pirate detail on eyepatch

I hear he has an inside track at a local costume shop. And that old school Chattacon shirt was da bomb! What year was that, anyway?

I'm proud of the boy. The only thing that came out of the shop was the eyepatch - which HE 'designed' and painted - and the baggy striped pants. The Hawian shirt was Jeff's. We dug the old jean jacket out of the closet (Don't actually know where it came from because neither Jeff nor I rememeber owning one). Jake 'sacrificed' his least favorite pair of jeans that were 'to tight' and Jeff shreded them for him. I made the CD bandalero and the BIG thing I did for him was to draw those silly checks on the white shoes! The trick is - the kid got THREE pairs of new shoes for this!!! The black high top sneakers (80's), the hand painted checkered slip ons (Weird Al) and the flip flops (Geek Pirate). He also managed to talk 'mom' into buying him a $22 WOW t-shirt from Hot Topic. *grumble* The Queen T-Shirt for 80's day was also a pricy one from Hot Topic, but he already had that. (Yes, you could have knocked me AND his father over with a feather when he ASKED for a Queen T-Shirt last Christmas.) My son believes that the average price of a T-shirt IS $20.

Sorry... my bad. I thought that was a Chattacon shirt, not a Queen shirt.
Early morning, blurry monitor.

*Giggle* It DOES look like an old Chattacon shirt now that you mention it... but he was going for a generic 'rocker' look. We could have found him an old shirt, but ours were all Small & Mediums. It's difficult to explain that the "Look" for the 80's was to have clothes that were Vaccuformed to the body.

I wanted to hang a thumb drive from his ear... but I didn't own one, and didn't want to run out and buy one just for this.

Heck, I'm sure someone here would have one to let him borrow. That would have been even cooler
