It's not that bad (subject matter notwithstanding), but it didn't quite meet the time period restraints.

It could be a ghost! We discovered there is a graveyard across the street from our house. Maybe someone followed us home...

Okay, now that really is spooky... I don't know if I'd live living that close to a graveyard....though I think it'd be cool to see and/or talk to a ghost..

I really like the shot. Unusual composition, the freaky light thing going on in the background. With a little color correction on the foreground it would have been a real contender in my book.

Neighbors are usually real quiet. That's always a plus sign...and they can't complain about your music being too loud

NewsShooter - I played with the color balance. I really prefer the pic the way it is. Although my photo editing software is NOT the best.
As for the light...it is a reflection of the setting sun through my single pained 70's era glass windows. I was surprised to see the effect myself. But my intention when taking the pics was to take advantage of the setting sun.
The graveyard across the street does not bother me at all. LG and I have discussed going and cleaning it up some. There was a house in the empty lot over there too. It burnt down several years ago. A man died in the fire.

Apparently, only Thyst and myself are brave enough to post our "rejected" photos.

I like Thyst's shot, especially because the colors are a bit 'off' in an interesting way. It may just be me, but I think the colors set off her blue eye very well.

I posted my "other" pic on the previous forum. I can post it again here, if you want me to... It's too much work to go to the old forum and find 'em there...... Yes, post it here, we're lazy!

Gary, the headgear makes you look like Gallagher. Good thing you were holding an instamatic and not a sledge-o-matic
