I switched from Comcast to U-verse a few months ago. The price was $161 for 3 tvs, 2 phones and the internet. It's a good deal since I am locked into it until next February. I checked with EPB and saw that I was going to pay over $60 more with them than I did with comcast. I was paying around $215 with comcast.
Did notice at first that the picture would be pixulated at times but so far no problems in the past few weeks.

this statement makes absolutely no sense at all. read what you typed. i know what you mean, but the way it is typed, your making it out to be that EPB is 60 a month higher than the comcast rate which was 215 a month.

Cadillac. I was paying comcast $215 a month based on what I have listed. I checked with EPB and found out for the exact same with them would cost me $60 more than comcast. With U-verse, I am paying only $161 for the above and getting 3 movie channels as well.

Anybody else notice the poor quality of source video sent by epbfi. I'm talking about the video quality after passing through their video center. I don't think it has to do with the broadband signal but it seems they degrade the video quality passing through their processors. Sometimes certain channels look like they are filmed in a movie theatre with a portable camera then broadcast to us. Contact EPB Jalon. There is a problem and they will fix it

I've had EPBfi for about a month now and love the internet service. I don't have the phone nor TV service. I'm watching HD TV for free over the air. Not a big 150-channels-and-nothing's-on kind of guy. I'm getting the 30MB service for $57/month. My only problem is that my connection is faster than a lot of the servers I'm connecting to. But it's nice to have the extra bandwidth because now we can surf the web on two computers WHILE watching a streamed movie from Netflix at the same time with no slow-down.

Beware of EPB Fiber Optics Service
I switched over from Comcast a few months back, but now wish I had not! One day, all of a sudden we lost our picture! We could still hear audio, but not video. At the time figured it was the TV (46" LCD), so went to Best Buy and bought a new one. Got home, hooked it up, everything worked fine for about 10 mins. then BANG! The picture went out again! Still hear audio, but no picture! Not even the Setup Default Menu would appear! So now I called EPB because the only thing it could be causing it is the Cable Box. The repairman came out, said he never heard of that, but everything else checked out. They even checked all my electrical outlets and circuits...all normal. He took the old box and said someone would contact me after checking it out. In the mean time he gave me a new box, but I now have no TV to hook up and test it. So they came out with a test TV and everything seems ok now, BUT the problem is it seems obviouos to me that it was the box but EPB is saying that they cannot find anything wrong, so now it appears they are unwilling to reimburst me for my TV!!!!! Nice customer service, as my wife called to check on the status and the rep she was talking to hung up on her!!! Time to go back to Comcast and would warn others to watch out!!! Being that EPB Service is relatively new, this could be the tip of the Iceburg!

Who goes out and buys a new TV before calling the service provider?

I am sorry but the anti EPB person only has 3 posts of this time. All were in the anti EPB thread and this one. Basically the post here was a cut and paste from the other one. That also should be taken into consideration,

What’s new with Fi TV Essential?
Thanks to our 100% fiber optic network, we are consistently adding great features to Fi TV Essential!
Want to pause and rewind live TV on any set-top box in your house? Go ahead! If you have Fi TV DVR service, you can now pause and rewind on all of your non-DVR set-top boxes. So no matter where you are in your house, you’ll never miss a minute of your favorite show!
Want to quickly search for an upcoming Braves game, presidential debate or romantic comedy? No problem. To look up programs according to “Categories” such as “Sports” or “Movies”, check out the “Categories” option through your remote control’s “Menu” button.
Only interested in seeing what’s on the channels you watch the most? Go ahead! Now you can select a group of your “Favorite” channels just by clicking “Enter” on your remote control and using the “Favorites” option.
Curious about what’s happening on the last five channels you were watching? Find out by clicking the “Last” button located in the center of your remote. One click of the button takes you back to the last channel you viewed and also pulls up a sidebar of the last five channels you were watching, complete with a picture-in-picture that shows what’s happening live on each channel.
There are many other ways to search for programming with this enhanced version of Fi TV Essential. It’s just a matter of choosing what you like best. So grab your remote and let the browsing begin!

That's right, be sure to sit your a** in front of the TV for the rest of the day, and don't forget the chips.
