It's going to kill all the plankton, reducing the amount of oxygen in the water and therefor in the air, killing all life on earth from the bottom of the food chain up.... So, will Hurricanes really matter if there is no one to rescue from them?

BP will manage to recover from their PR problems before the hurricane season ends. Any environmental consequences will be written off as being a delusion of the "far left". Life will go on as usual.

why not use these? they are nearly 30 feet in diameter. WIND TOWERS!!! Stack em tall and the oil will be contained. just pump it out the big hole at the top.  photo from www.siag.deoops had to fix pic |

they won't use anything that they can't retrieve the oil from so they won't use stuff that micro-biologically changes the oil. because then it represents lost profits. they would rather it pool and collect into places that it can be pumped from like the machine that was touted to clean it from the water. I don't know if that ever proved to be workable but that is why they won't use oil eating bacteria on it because then it would become useless.
