OSRB ... the camping idea sounds interesting. May take you up on that. May even bring the kayaks to paddle on that lake. Make a whole weekend of it.

Update: the way schedules are working out for Longshot, we may have to schedule this shindig with little to no advance planning.
We're currently look at August dates, and I will do my best to give more than a week's notice.

Just to insure myself a good parking & partying spot whenever the damn ShotFest thing finally gets scheduled, I'm leaving right now with all my camping & caving gear & remaining there until someone finally decides when the festivities start -- I'll be there waiting. All alone in the dark I'll soon be searching for a camping spot deep within Pan Gap cave & pitching my tent atop massive quantities of guano covering every square inch of cave floor to insure I'll be there for the entire shebang -- that's how dedicated I am & how dedicated the rest of you slackers SHOULD be.....

Ah "ShotFest" Dreamed Up upon clouds of smoke in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere, where various members of the forum had gathered for a Notta Party in the mid Spring.... too cool, not hot enough. Decided while drinking leftover donuts and dreaming of an "eden" in Chattanooga.... where you could gather socially, wear whatever the heck was clean, shoot big guns, fill your gut with gin and meat and pass out blissfully in the grass on on the roof of a strangers car. "ShotFest" is a beautiful thing, just this time please don't forget the hot pads, sharpie markers, petrolum jelly, and duct tape.
