Greetings! I'm new to the forum, but I would to let you know that I am searching for information about the history of Boy Scouting in Chattanooga. I am a historian putting the finishing touches on a book about the Boy Scouts in Chattanooga. 2010 is the 100th Anniversary of the organization in the Scenic City! If you were a Scout, or have a family member that was (especially a long time ago) - I'd love to hear from you. I'm especially interested in learning about camps, the Order of the Arrow (Scouting's National Honor Society), and seeing photographs, scrapbooks, patches, neckerchiefs, uniforms, and documents relating to Scouting in Chattanooga. If you are also interested in the history of Chattanooga, you might be interested in the book. 100% of profit goes to the local Scouting council to preserve its history. Here's a link for more information: tali293.org/historybook.htmFeel free to reach me directly at ChattanoogaBSAHistory@gmail.com. I'd love to hear from you and that cigar box (or attic!) full of old Scouting stuff your grandfather had tucked away and passed down through the generations.

By the way, every single Eagle Scout is listed in this book, along with the year they received the award and their troop. If you know an Eagle Scout, consider purchasing one of these books (or direct them to the site) - it will be a neat memory! If you want to confirm that they are in the book first, email ChattanoogaBSAHistory@gmail.com.
