yeah i am. when MS cut the support for XP last year, XP was finally the product that it SHOULD have been when it was initially released in 2001.
microshaft has a long history of releasing incomplete barely operational garbage while still having a broken operating system on the market. i have legit copies of Vista Ultimate 32 and 64 bit, and i really dont care for either version. i have used windows 7 maybe three times, and i was not impressed at all.

OK all EPB users. Reboot computers and routers then go to speedtest.epbfi.com/as of last week 15mbps customers now have 30, 20 gets you 50, and 50 gets you 100 at no additional costs. Care to match Commiecast? I have to upgrade my router because it maxes out at 25 on hardwire and 18 on wireless. Plugged in direct to the wall....... 31.8 consistent!

Yoda, it would be different if you were getting a fraction the advertised speed. i will say that the one thing the EPB should do to make the package really enticing is to offer a 5 meg service for 20 a month. that would really steal some customers. Yoda, call them every morning to see if any installs for the day have been canceled. we did that here, it was hooked up 12 days early, plus i got a free 2 weeks. they did not charge me for the last 2 weeks of June. so i got 6 weeks for the price of 4

LOVE the Fiber network at my house. We have been through Cable years ago, then both Dish Networks but Fiber is definetly the way to go. People I know that live Quail Hollow, Mtn. Creek Rd. are begging for EPB Fiber.

I was the first person in Southeast Tennessee to have a cable modem back in 1999. I was the New Product Development MAnager for InterMedia in Cleveland (before Charter bought them out). It was only a one-way modem and had a dowload speed of 1.5Mbps, upload speed of 256Kbps through the phone line. Currently I'm a Comcast customer in Hamilton County and am happy with the service. I am also happy that you folks on EPB's service are so happy with it. Currently, I'm a spokesperson for Comcast, and get my service practically free, so I will not complain. I believe there's room for competition in this market and the market will benefit from it.

i had internet service from Comcast back when it was first offered. Excite ran the network, and that was 1999, around September/October if memory serves.

The problem might have been your SMTP (outbound) server. If you were using AT&T it won't allow you to use it any more.

I'm a happy camper now. They left the place looking better than when they arrived, and did good things that I didn't expect them to. A+, guys! The young man who did my install was wonderful as well. Like yours, he left my house looking better than when he got there. When Comcast had installed my high speed lines, they just put them anywhere on the outside of the house, left old wires there and left it looking bad. The young man who installed my EPB fiber, redid all their wiring, hiding the wires along the bottom edge of my bricks or siding and removed the old wires that Comcast had left. Just did an outstanding job!! Over and above what was required or expected!!

what ads? the adblock extension for firefox removes all ads for me and the thunderstorms? i have been here online doing whatever when the power flashes. it does not bother me, as my router and PC and television are all on battery backups. power flashes do not affect me in any way.
