I don't know how many of the old fidonet people are still on the message board, but Ross Smarekar (From the Inner circle bbs), passed away this week. This is the message left by Peg on fackbook.

Daughter Heather left a post already, but I'll repeat: Yesterday they found my Hubby's car (Ross) on the side of the road. He was in it slumped over the wheel. They said it looked like a heart attack. He did try to call 911, but spotty coverage there. It's a shock to us all. we appreciate your prayers & good thoughts

He will be missed.
