Wally's has been around for a while. You don't stay around for a while unless you have something good to offer.

Yes, good stuff! Wally's has been around for a while. You don't stay around for a while unless you have something good to offer. Explain Chef Lin then...

Chef Lin has been around for 15 years and was good in the beginning. It has always been out of my way so I don't know exactly when it began slipping but from what I understand it has gotten fairly bad. Still, it's relatively cheap and it's an all you can eat food bar. Momentum will carry it on for a while.

Wally's on McCallie is great for breakfast, and so-so for dinner. Wally's in East Ridge is good for eating a lot, but it really isn't all that good for anything else.

Want take-out? Use Wally's on McCallie. In East Ridge, they get downright confused if you go in and ask for takeout. McCallie is set up for it -- they have the daily specials on typed sheets of paper that make it very easy to order. In East Ridge they simply give you the menu, which takes a bit of going through, especially if you're used to how they do things on McCallie. Then there's no real place to wait while they put your order together. You sit on the bench in the lobby and every person who comes through to dine in looks at you and asks "Are you waiting to be seated?" Orders take much longer to get in East Ridge, too, while at McCallie you sit at the counter and watch the goings-on. Much more interesting. One day I'll try dine-in at East Ridge.

Asking if you've eaten at Wally's is like asking if you've ever heard of Luther!

I moved here in1972. I had been here a few weeks when someone at work mentioned Luther. I asked who that was. I was 19. I think traffic on ground and air stopped in shock! Now, I think I would as well!
