Saturday is September 11th, and the 9th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that claimed over 3,000 lives. This day has been designated "Patriot Day" by a joint resolution passed by Congress, and a Presidential proclamation calls upon all Americans to: 1. fly flags at half-staff 2. observe a moment of silence at 8:46a.m. Eastern Standard Time We will participate in this proclamation, and, thus, we ask that all our friends and families fly flags at half-staff and allow a moment of silence at 8:46 EST to honor those who lost their lives. Additionally, some of us may attend special religious services or candle light vigils or other ceremonies. Some may chose to spend time with their families or in the presence of loved ones. However you chose to honor those lost, the staff of www.nooganews.com would like to extend our regards and goodwill to each of you this Patriot Day
