Anyone know how to change the thermostat settings on a gas hot water heater? I don't see any apparent dials or anything on there, and I'd like my hot water to actually be HOT again, rather than merely "quite warm."
It would seem my tenants didn't know how to mix some cold water in with the hot to not scald themselves when doing dishes... and had far more heat sensitive hands than I.

There is probably a box on the front of it at the bottom that is removable. The dial might be under that. Why would you need a hot water heater? I would rather have a cold water heater. Hot water is already hot.  |

Got it. A friend texted me more specific instructions that made sense just a minute ago.
