I don't care how much electricity you use to heat and cool your mansions, or how much you fly around the world on your private jets, please restart global warming, I'm about to freeze to death.

Where were you in July and August 25 straight days of temps above 90 degrees. I don't know about Mikey but I was back in Chattanooga, riding my bicycle 20+ miles every day and loving every minute of it. It was summer like I remembered it as a kid. Hot and humid days like those are why I stay in the South.

Odd how whenever we have a cold snap, the stupid Al Gore jokes surface, yet we just got through with one of the hottest summers on record.... hmmmm... I'm not necessarily a Gore lover, but I'm with Jay Santos, this "joke" has about run its course.

It's no joke; people who don't understand science believe there is no global warming . Good thing the earth is flat.

It isn't global warming, it's erratic climatic disturbances.

Which is historically a precursor to global climate change. Whether humanity has affected the timing or not is up for debate (especially since, like God, it's an unprovable postulate).

It's no joke; people who don't understand science believe there is no global warming . Good thing the earth is flat. Yes we know all those email's that were released prove that global warming is true. In order for the science to be true it must be first proven and the fact that people hid/ changed data to *prove* their point just goes to show how weak their science was. Even if it did exist all those people negated their point and cannot be believed. WK hit the argument on the head we do not know. P.S. Al Gore is a Joke.

Hot new discovery: Rare metal that stores heat from sun makes the 'rechargeable solar battery' possible By Niall Firth Last updated at 2:02 PM on 30th November 2010 Scientists have discovered how a rare metal is able to absorb sunlight and store it as pure heat until it is needed. The breakthrough paves the way for the next generation of solar power devices that are able to harness energy and heat collected from the sun and store it indefinitely. Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say it could be used to create a ‘rechargeable heat battery’ that could be used to heat a home. www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1334369/The-liquid-metal-make-rechargeable-solar-battery-store-heat-sun.html#ixzz17RvpGH6F

"that joke is as stale as the bread Mocassin Bend feeds your rhetoric talking points drive pyscho babble." "people who don't understand science believe there is no global warming . Good thing the earth is flat." Actually, the joke is on all those lefties who actually BELIEVED that drivel that algore spouted as fact. Algore himself has said that the numbers were hyped for POLICY reasons and in order to try and get his lying self elected. www.thomaspeep.com/al-gore-admits-i-was-wrong-about-climate-change/People who REALLY understand science don't fall for left-wingnut conspiracies and hoaxes.

Those who understand science know that:
a) Weather is cyclical
b) We've only been collecting detailed information for just over 100 years, and out of the billions of years the planet has been around, that is an insignificant spec insufficient for any really meaningful projections. Yes, there are ice core samples that give indications of temperatures much farther back into the past. But those also show that there have been periods that are much warmer than today, and periods much colder, well before any human activity could account for those changes.
That the planet is warming is not at question. What is at question is why. When people say "Global Warming" and then say "see, the temperatures have gone up" as proof, they are being disingenuous. What they should be saying is "Man Made Global Warming", and that is where the science is less than complete.
Al Gore is a boob. The worst presidential ticket I can imagine would be a bipartisan Palin-Gore ticket.

and that is all that matters, if it had been meant as anything but to make people smile I would have put it in the debate lounge

If this metal sucks the very life out of common sense and logic and exudes hypocrisy by the bucket load especially when it is not needed, then the readers on the Police Blotter discovered this new metal years ago.
It is called, "WikiDukeracite".

Since 50 is about the "normal" temp for this time of year, I guess everyone should be pleased.

Seasonal, just seasonal. Algore is over in Europe now, spreading the word on global cooling and how many carbon credits we need to buy to offset it. I'm waiting till after Christmas to get mine cause the price usually drops by then.
