CPD Officer Sheila Jetton's baby daughter, Elizabeth, is very ill and has spent most of her short life in hospitals. Born December 30, 2009 Elizabeth spent the first 30 days of her life in NICU.
She had her first surgery in March 2010 to fix a heart valve and have a lung biopsy. At that time she was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension and Pulmonary Interstitial Glycogenosis. She was diagnosed later in the year with Tracheomalcia and Neouronal Migration Disorder.
She has had surgeries to place a trach and feeding tube. She is currently being evaluated to have a lung transplant at Texas Children's Hospital.
She has spent the majority of 2010 in Erlanger and Vanderbilt and will soon start her long journey to new lungs.

CPD officers have been generous in donating their personal time to Sheila so she can continue to receive a full paycheck while staying with her daughter. To help the Jetton family, friends and family of Matt, Sheila and Elizabeth will be hosting a spaghetti dinner along with a silent auction at Middle Valley Church of God (1703 Thrasher Pike, Hixson) on Thursday, Jan. 6, at 6 p.m. All proceeds will go to offset accruing medical/living expenses related to Elizabeth’s current condition as well as to support funds needed during her upcoming surgery.
Dinner will include spaghetti plate with salad and bread as well as drink and dessert. A $5 donation per plate is requested. To go plates will be available. Tickets can be purchased in advance or donations can be given that night.
There will be a variety of items listed for silent auction. Winners will be notified within 48 hours after event.
To donate and for more information, email izzaboo09@gmail.com or contact Ruthie Wade at 314-7110 or Latisha Massey 653-9822.
