Thanks for these reports, Yoda. We sure won't read about them in the local media. LE agencies are very hesitant to even appear, in uniform, or out, at these political rallies unless there is a credible threat of a disturbance. Had LE appeared in uniform, there would have been more complaints of LE's attempt to "Stifle" free speech and the political process. Had LE appeared undercover to monitor, there would have been more complaints of LE "Spying" on free speech and the political process. Only in Red Bank would a citizen complain that there was no disturbance and no police to respond to the no disturbance. I've learned that every city has a Duke. Unfortunately, Red Bank seems to have 10 or 15. (Some of them appear to be on the PD and in management!) This may be why the City of Red Bank, and is citizens, are often unfairly criticized. And sometimes fairly!

Ahh.... Thanks for letting me know what Ms "I'm unhappy and want you all to know about it" had in mind. We snuck out after she distributed her packets of obviously 4-6 pages with yellow highlighter all over the cover sheet and proceeded to read her prepared statement. When she got to (paraphrasing) "City Manager Dorsey is the root of all evil" and Mr. Dorsey rolled his eyes, I knew the group was in for a long winded and pointless argument. I leaned over to my mom and said "I'm hungry and my TV show comes on at 8." We left.
