In order of priority (i.e. triage, baby!) - Beer? Check
- Cold beer with/without electricity? Check (It's 32 freakin' degrees here so I am sure there is a God now and He has a plan for us all.)
- Smokes? Check
- Cigarette lighter? Check
- Coffee and water (This is why I didn't winterize the damn pool)
- Cell phone off? Check
- Firewood? Check
- Fireplace? Check
- Milk? Check
- Bread? Check
- Internets connection? Check
- Food that can be eaten cold or heated up with a Zippo lighter? Check
- Patrol car aimed out and full of gas with -6 degree hill out of the subdivision salted? Shit.

I start a new job in the morning. The Weather Channel tells me I may have 1-4 inches of snow on the ground in the morning leaving for work with an additional 2-3 inches accumulating while I'm at work, driving home in freezing rain. This should be fun.

I'd quit. Save everybody at least three old-growth trees of paperwork, a crashed car and the expense of some traffic cop saying, "You absolutely had to go where?".

Meh, I work hourly but I'm working out a two week notice and I have over 30 hours of carry over PTO time that I can't cash out when I leave, so I'm digging an excuse to not come to work.
