Recommendations needed!

need to get a digital voice recorder & software to convert the recordings into text. It will be easier than taking notes in my next firearms class. needs to have good quality playback, a good mic to pick up the instructors voice, be able to handle gunfire during a class, and DURABLE! yet affordable on a limited budget
