Raining

So, it's raining and I have a very spoiled dog that hates getting rained on.
On the other hand, this weekend Bloodhound very kindly helped me pick up a treadmill from cdojanet.
Anyone else see the math here? Yup, after fortifying myself with a Bard's beer (sorghum malt, gluten free and not as good as Grist Mill, sweeter than Redbridge but doable) I decided to give Strega his first lesson on it.
Romeo was much more difficult. Romeo would freak out at the hum of it and about kill himself escaping.
Strega, on the other hand, tried to lay down on it first, then he tried to put one or two paws on the motionless edges, then to slide off the back or leap through the front. Eventually, he seemed to start getting the idea so I gave him a break from it to feed him dinner. I wonder if this will be the start of a beautiful alternative to walking in the snow and the rain? I can already feel my belly expanding.

Shoot, he'll get on it for a few minutes, but if he had a tail it'd be tucked. It's kinda fun tormenting him though.

I once had a cat that was fascinated with an adding machine I brought home. She loved to press the 'motor' keys then jump back as though shot when the machine cycled. The intrigue lasted several days.
At least once, she climbed up on the edge of the tub, reached down to play with the bubbles, but soon found out it was much more difficult to get out than in after overbalancing. LOL
