A friend of mine heats with wood and her husband, caught pneumonia a couple of months ago. Because of him not being able to help, they are now in a bit of a bind for wood to burn. She has a chainsaw and some friends that will help load her truck but needs "old" wood. (thats been down a while).
anybody got any?

Yes, it's already mostly cut. I'll need some of the smaller pieces left for me to have little campfires with, but she can come get some.
(it's about 7yrs old and catches quickly. It *was* a bradford pear. Not the best for heating, but better than pine.)

There is one right next to my yard, that overhangs. Not very large, but very dead. I'm sure the owner of the lot would LOVE to have someone come take it down, rather than pay for damages to my property.

We had a huge branch fall off of a tree during the summer (it's as big as a tree itself). We don't have a chainsaw & would love to be rid of it.

If you can get to Cleveland Bob have them go by A+Pallets on Tasso Road, they pick up old pallets to refurbish and all the wood that cannot be reused they stack out front and people can load up all they want for free. They usually have lots to give away ( I see people drive away with truck loads), but you may want to call and check before you drive all the way. Pallet would is small and burns fast but it is great for getting a fire burning fast.

As a prank I've thought about calling them up and asking if they can deliver their free firewood. Thought better of it though.
