She's new, but I don't know where she came from, either. She's very polished and confident on the air. Looks like she may have been at a larger market at one time or another.

depends on who you are and what you're talking about. If you mention that epic fail of a tired stale news talk format radio station, that's not the heritage talker, that's out of bounds. If you praise the above mentioned failure it's game on.  |

I thought we get in trouble for talking about the media on this message board Media discussions are closely watched because of the number of moderators here that work in media. Innocent questions, comments are fine but bashing, no. I suppose that I don't visit here enough to have ever noticed the "media bashing". I know that the Admin ( Gary Pool? ) is in the news and it is certainly his choice to ban any bashing directed towards the media.... But, I've got to ask. Why is media bashing frowned upon but the cop bashing isn't? Is it that PM is not as thin skinned or is it a numbers thing since there are more mods in the media then there are cops? |

In Atlanta we had a female named Dagmar Midcap who worked for CBS here.....I loved her. She was smart, funny, and BEAUTIFUL. One day she just dissapeared....I did some research and found out that she left the Atlanta area because her boyfriend had committed suicide and she just couldn't handle staying here because so many things reminded her of him....I was crushed, but at least I understood.
She loved her job and she was good at it. The ratings at CBS fell for a while....
Just keeping the topic online.... (grin)

WILL NOT WATCH Channel 9 news anymore. After leaking Chapin's name to twitter before his family was notified and the poor timing of interview of Mathews' mother last night. Being first is not always a good thing.  |

Channel 9 sux. I've encountered a few of their reporters over the years, and they all have an attitude. But since this post is about weather coverage, let's face it. Paul Barys is the man. Whoever the fill-in chick is at 9 had no clue last night.
