Now that the weather is getting great for riding. I would like to know how many people out there would like to try and put a group of us together for riding and friendship. Also any ideas for rides would be helpful.

I'd be interested in a somewhat small group maybe three or four riders, large groups of riders kind of scare me.
BTW I ride an FJR 1300.

I have to go back to school for my license again, since I never brought it to Georgia with me (kicking oneself now)......
We have a tiny little Honda, but it works for us!

Georgia would not transfer my endorsement from Tennessee when I moved here. I had had a motorcycle endorsement on my license since I was 14 and they would not transfer it. It really makes me angry every time I think about it.

I am surprised JT I had a CA license and did not have any problem with transfer. But that was back in 1993 though much has changed since then.

I blame the clerks in the DMV for this more than the state of Georgia. I argued with them over this and they finally agreed to transfer the endorsement and then didn't. I didn't notice that until I got home. Since I didn't have a motorcycle at the time it was more of a hassle to straighten it out than it was worth to me.
This was in Gwinnett County in 2002 and the DMV was very crowded and overworked. The clerks were gruff and couldn't be told anything. I had problems getting almost everything switched over from Tennessee to Georgia.

Just went to put a new fuel filter on mine so I can ride it, and I have the wrong filter. The Honda shop is 30 miles from here, so it will be another day.
I have discovered that neither my car nor my bike like ethanol. Both have died on me in the past week. Both run perfectly on pure gas.

I kinda regret selling mine last October but life happened and I didn't need the extra cost and even though it was an 87 and 600cc it was still a sport bike and I was getting stupid on it. This will be the first summer in 5 years that I don't have a motorcycle. I'm planning next summer to have either a VFR800 (Vtech model) or a Triumph Bonneville, no more crotch rockets for me.

Already extended the invite OSRB. I want to do a tune up before any long haul riding but the Dragon awaits...
And PM? Please set up another course, I've wanted to take the MSF course for years now. Will be there with bells on (street legal, DOT approved bells of course...)

Not sure if three weeks (1 to set up, 2 for the school) of 14 hour days would be worth it!

Chattanooga State still offers the MSF Basic Rider course through the Adult Education program.

I took the MSF course way back in 1987. I had to in order to ride on base. I learned a lot during that. If I had known some of the stuff they taught before I would not have as many scars as I do.

The MSF course is an excellent course and every rider should take it. I wouldn't mind taking a refresher to be honest as I have no doubt developed some bad habits through the years since I took the course.

Possible, but, anticipate an immediate increase in nationwide MC insurance rates shortly thereafter.
Damn, but it would be fun as hell!

I learned that most cops aren't appreciative of the skills courses that I had to pass to get my racing license.
