What do the lyrics make you feel? Sad, misunderstood and angry about it. Justice. I've never thought of the song as reminding me of other lyrics. |

Homeless person or almost anyone who may be alone in a crowd with no one to share the experience.
Self depreciating because the person dwells more on negative remarks heard than the known successes whether acknowledged or not by others.

I always thought of that song as reference to someone feeling misunderstood and calling out help.

He's being sarcastic and angry about all the little rock & roll sycophants...Hanger-ons that pretend to want to serve & worship him, when really, all they want is to use him because he's famous.. He really doesn't want to be worshipped or served..he doesn't need these people to do these things for him... |
