I've been to Riverbend for the last three nights and it has been packed. There are no searches or metal detectors at any of the gates, so I don't know how they would know if anybody had a concealed weapon on them. I agree that permit holders should be allowed to carry them into the festival for safety and protection in the park, as well as the walk to and from their vehicles. There would be no reason to pull out the gun and use it in the park unless there was a problem at which point I don't think anybody would care what the rules are. There were tons of police everywhere, but of course they are not everywhere when you need them.
