La Paz Hosts First Ever Latino Awareness Series
La Paz Chattanooga announces the start of its Latino Awareness Series on Monday, August 8.
As a part of a new awareness campaign, La Paz will host a Latino Awareness Series comprised of quarterly, two-hour luncheon workshops at which featured speakers will address the public on topics deemed by the public as “the most important and pressing” in the Chattanooga Latino community.
This event was made possible in part through the generous support of the Lyndhurst Foundation.
Through the luncheon workshops, businesses and individuals will learn how to be best prepared and equipped to adequately work with and interact with the Latino community. Topics to be addressed were chosen by the public and include: Immigration; Latinos and Health Care; How to Market to Latinos; and Education and the Latino Youth.
What: Latino Awareness Series, Immigration When: Monday, August 8, 11:00am to 1pm (11:00-11:30, lunch/networking; 11:30-1, workshop) Where: United Way Community Room (630 Market St.) Cost: $10, open to the public. Lunch provided by Conga Latin Food.
