Burn the motha down, Bay-Bee!!! ;D The nasty drug house 3 doors down from us is NO MORE. Who knows what set it off, tho I'm surprised it took this long. My husband and everyone else who has to walk down that street at night or in the wee hours has been harassed or sent running by the druggies & hookers who made their semi-permanent home there, mostly on the front porch. Every creep who looked in our window or made off with our possessions had some connection to that place. It was a true blight on the neighborhood. No one was hurt so I feel NO guilt in my celebratory mood. Like many other sites that burned, this one will probably not be rebuilt, and that, too, is fine by me.
Yeahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it was going good -- my husband said he saw flames as high as the treetops, and that was long after the fire trucks had arrived. It was an older house, very flimsy-looking -- a tinderbox. I'd never seen the inside but can only imagine it being full of junk and flammable things. Some legal, many not, I'm sure.

Well if that house was such a trouble for the people living there then they should have taken action. When I lived in So. Cal. there was a drug house in a neighborhood the cops did nothing so the people that lived there gave warning to people to get out then burned the place down. Nobody got hurt and the people could live in peace after that. Some people were arrested for arson but they could not get a jury to convict. Yes I did donate some money to help in their defense. With more people taking charge less problems with these type of places.

Yeah, what we need is more vigilantes... In some cases it is the only answer. When the cops will not do anything the people must. Give the cops a chance after that ...

www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_207311.aspToday's story in the Chattanoogan proves once and for all that one spectacularly pissed-off woman can accomplish a whole lot more than local governments, anarchists, vigilantes and libertarians combined.

Thanks, DW! I wish they'd tear the thing down already, but even as a hollowed-out husk it's more attractive than it was with the fights and triple-parked cars in front at 2am.
