Over priced burgers are never that good.
Then again, I'm kinda partial to thedeli at 4th and 34th (J&C Quick Stop). Best burger in the south, bar-none. FOr 5 bucks you can get a great burger, big bag-o-chips and a coke (or a 40 oz)

I'm trying to figure out if BillVol is a wannabe food critic or just enjoys complaining constantly about everything.
this is a "review" of a food joint that he didn't even eat at.
but hey, he "KNOWS" it wasn't any good. he's that damn good.

Well, we know Bill operates on a different wavelength than many of us but but he is a good guy when he remembers to wear his tinfoil hat. I actually ate one of the aforementioned burgers and found it to be adequate but hardly exciting. I am amazed at the people frothing at the mouth over how awesome this truck and Urbanstack are. Just for starters the Armandos' on Main and on Lee Hwy produce very good burgers as does The Terminal.

It is surprising to some that the fare at a mobile-fly-by-night hamburger joint was less than perfect?
Good grief, Bryan Stone, give the unsuspecting customer 6 months, would ya?
billvol should just stick to Krystal, or McDonalds, where everything is exactly the same, every time.

BillVol's comments (avid supporter of Chattanooga in general) and food critiques stand on their own merit. It's interesting that a consistently negative poster complains that BillVol complains. And criticizing for miserable service is a benefit to any prospective customer. Of course, if one is in uniform, I guess there is never bad service, whether at burger joints or donut dives.

They got me at Nightfall once because I was hungry and think any place deserves a chance. You got off easy. Your experience was better than if you had actually tried the burger.
The thread title says it all - AVOID them

Only rookies actually order via the drive thru!

Still the funniest line in a long time is "It is surprising to some that the fare at a mobile-fly-by-night hamburger joint was less than perfect"
I once went though a drive in with a cop. He asked if I wanted anything. I passed on the invitation. I did not want food ordered by a cop in a cop car at a drivethu.
Resturant employees are almost exclusively ex-cons working there as a condition of their probation. They probably hate cops.
I played it off like it was the resturant's fault, not his. "Hell, no I hate Jack-in-the-Box", yeah that's it!
He got his food, opened his drink cup, threw out the enclosed bug and kept going without missing a beat. He wasn't even pissed. "Its just a fucking grasshopper!!!"

I though grasshoppers were a delicay in Moldavia. Must be thinking of Romanies.

I though grasshoppers were a delicay in Moldavia. Must be thinking of Romanies. Probably cooked grasshoppers, but this one was alive and hopping inside the cup between the ice and the cup lid. It was one of those "only in California" moments. I am not sure if this same kind of anti-cop sentiment would exist on the east coast. We have a taboo about messing with anyone's food, generally speaking.

Kevin Brown's in Ooltewah. Great burger. Unless you are a Adam Richman fan, don't order the double. Too much, too much (but I ate it anyway).

I still like Zarzours burgers. The Southern Burger truck is in the running to be on next year's Great Food Truck Race on Food Network. It would be neat to see them in the race. You can vote here. foodtrucks.teamdigital.com/
