Serious question-
I've recently discovered that, according to the Hamilton County marriage records online, someone using my name & address has gotten married to some woman I've never heard of. Panicked, I just ran a credit report on myself, and nothing funny came up. But I'm still obviously very displeased that someone has used my name & address to get married, right here in Chattanooga. I Googled the bride's name and discovered that she & Fake Me still live in Chattanooga--in Hixson, specifically. I have no idea who the hell this impostor is, or why he used my name. What should I do?

You think anything would come of it if I called them? I should have said in my original post--they got married 3 years ago, using an address I was living at back then (I have moved since then).
Since 2007, the date of this person's marriage, haven't had any credit weirdness, any loans taken out in my name, etc. As far as I can tell, the only thing this person did was, 3 years ago, use my name and address to get married.
I can't figure it out.
Why would someone use my name to get married? Who the hell is this guy?(I have no reason to believe this person has stolen my SSN, b/c you don't need to give a SSN to get married in Hamilton County.)

Yep, we don't have anything else to do. In between the gang shootings, children getting beaten half to death and investigating the car crashes that killed more innocent people than the gang shootings have, to date, we'll get right on it.

Since the dude that stole your name is now officially married to some chick you don't know, he is probably getting as much of some un-named chick's (that you don't know) 'thang' as you are.
I'd call it 'even' and move on. (Without dialing '911'.)

I would call an attorney and ask what to do. They are paranoid for a living. He might have taken your identity because he's hiding from someone or is in the country illegally.
