While it's always true, it may be especially true at this time of year, but CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS to make sure you're getting what you're paying for at the marked prices. I suggest knowing about how much your total should be before you actually pay, if possible,
especially if you shop at Red Bank Spirits and Wine.

AND at ALL Dollar General's too they are NOTORIOUSLY bad about raising the price in the computer but not properly marking it on the shelf. It can be as much as a dollar on some items. If you call them on it they have to price adjust to the marked on the shelf price.

And if they don't, just tell them you don't want any of the stuff they just rang up and head for the door. They get a change of heart and do it.

It has something to do with the nationality of the store owners, usually. Indians bought out all the Valley Marts, (BP's) in the Athens area, Budweiser marks their beer prices and labels the shelves. 16 oz. and 24 oz singles are constantly overrang by 20 to 40 cents, 3rd time that I had to tell them about it I decided not to go back.
