What??? At this rate the ICE BOWL game would have never been played!
Has football become a game for PUSSIES? Or a game of PUSSIES?

Mayor of Philly called a state of emergency. No support staff etc...They won't play unless there are asses in the seats it's about the money not the game.

this has zero to do with the game.
It's about public safety partially,.. and mostly about money.
mikedookie,... maybe you believe everything you read on the internet. You don't need to see anything on TV to know what this is about.

Well it aint about the money, tickets had all been sold, television money had already been paid. Maybe for the publicity, or maybe just to set a precedent, maybe in the future all games should be played on clear and sunny days, or just move them all indoors. In a couple years the Superbowl will be played in the new Meadowlands Stadium, what happens if it snows that day, will it be cancelled. Will the Superbowl be cancelled?

If you don't think that for anybody with a vested interest that this decision will increase the bottom line you are crazy.
call it what you want. in the end it's a money & PR motivated situation.
and:
-no moving the Super Bowl b/c of snow would not happen b/c that decision would lose money
-moving all games in doors would not be more profitable
-playing games only on sunny & clear days would not a profitable decision
the money flow doesn't stop with the TV money & ticket sales.
We can debate why this decision was made forever. But it was not about the players playing the football game.

No cars to charge to park
No beer sales
No food sales
No merchandise sales
No Hot Chocolate sales. etc..etc...& etc...
Tickets are a very, very small piece of the revenue stream at a football game.
Safety was a big issue as well.
Remember it's just a game ain't worth killing someone over.
