County Files Federal Lawsuit Seeking To End Occupy Chattanooga Campout
Hamilton County has filed a 13-page lawsuit in Federal Court seeking to end a campout by members of Occupy Chattanooga on the lawn of the County Courthouse.
The suit, filed by County Attorney Rheubin Taylor and Assistant County Attorney Neill Southerland, asks for a declaratory judgment on maintaining the rights of the protestors, while "ensuring that public property is respected and protected."
