The multi-million dollar Highway 27 project is in full swing, and causing traffic issues. "It backs up a lot of the traffic, and it's really hard to figure out where the ramps are," said Dayna Lerum, who drives the stretch of highway to and from work. Tennessee Department of Transportation's newly launched widening project is causing back-ups, confusion, and fender benders. "I'm always breaking, breaking," said driver Samuel Davenport, "you've always got to pay attention, early in the morning it's kind of hard." I am shocked. People driving too fast and not paying attention to the changing road configuration? That NEVER happens around here.
Typical response from the heads-up-their-keesters crowd: It's TDOT's fault for their poor driving skills and habits.

"I'm always breaking, breaking," said driver Samuel Davenport, "you've always got to pay attention, early in the morning it's kind of hard." If it's that hard to pay attention, sounds like he doesn't need to be driving.

It's always TDOT's fault. You didn't get the memo? I thought it was Bush's fault.

I thought it was Bush's fault. Truth be told, much of the deterioration occured on his watch.

I thought it was Bush's fault. Truth be told, much of the deterioration occured on his watch. You mean, of course, while Philip Bredesen (D) was Governor. "You're Welcome" for the correction

Why the hell didn't they do this when they widened the bridge? The funds weren't available then.

Why the hell didn't they do this when they widened the bridge? The funds weren't available then. Or were they used for his pet projects?
