What you don't know about Chattanooga will astound you: our city is home to Mukasa Ricks who by the age of 23 had desegregated Chattanooga, organized dozens of community organizations in rural southern communities, started farmers co-operatives, two independent political parties, and coined the phrase "Black Power". This is the history of Chattanooga the Chamber of Commerce and city government do not want you to know. This is the People's History of Chattanooga. chactivist.blogspot.com/2012/05/chattanooga-roots-of-black-power.html

Chamber of Commerce spends our own tax dollars ($500,000 from Chattanooga alone, does not include consulting fees) conveying a message of fluff.

I agree April, in all communities including The US Chamber waste just propping people up raking home the cash. They come off as used car salesmen Tom ED is phony looking

I spent 1.5 years working a volunteer effort called Hire Here, I know that the Chamber of Commerce, All the Ed's as I call them, are a pack of thieves.
People say to me, you probably should not be saying that, screw them. in fact, one threatened to sue Little Chicago Watch and me.
As long as they are stealing and wasting public resources, I am allowed to complain.

Is it a requirement to have two first names to work at The Chamber or at least an Ed in your name?

Yes, to have a taxpayer subsidized salary over $150,000 per year at the Chamber, you must have Ed in your name. Tom Eds, the J. Eds, and the Eds that love Chattanooga and Hamilton County hard working class, tax money.
