So, what's this proposed amendment to Ordinance 12566? Anyone got a link for what it actually says and/or an opinion? School Board districts 1, 2 4 and 7 are up. No competition in 2 or 4. I'm in one of those and am tempted to write in, just for the heck of it. A sample ballot can be found here.

WarKitty,
District 2 Chip Baker waited until 4 hours before the filing deadline to annouce he was not running again in District 2. Linda Mosley did the same.
I worked Joe Dumas campaign against Baker in 08, I believe it was. We worked hard as we could, canvassing, writing letters, etc, and Joe got 42 percent. Almost had Baker beat. I guess my point is a lot of people chose not to run against Baker because he was a strong incumbent. I believe Baker waited until the last minute to discourage others from running against Welch, the Dentist that is running. There is a write in candidate that is actually running a campaign as a write in for District 2 school board. His name is Mike Harvey. I am voting for him as a write in for sure. I am with ya on the write in's.
The lack of choice is a strategic product of Chip Baker and Linda Mosley waiting until the last minute to announce they were not running.
And of course, VOTE GARY STARNES FOR SESSIONS COURT JUDGE, please.

JC,
Thank you for sharing the ordinance for a separate internal audit. I do not think an independent Department would result in auditor Stan Sewell having a backbone. Fact is on Excalibur, Stan Sewell intercepted the State Auditors conducting an investigation by going to the Comptroller Attorney and crying a river.
