The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park is honoring current and veteran military service members and local emergency responders by hosting Patriot Day on Tuesday, September 11th, 2012.
Local emergency responders – police, firefighters, and EMS along with current and veteran military members are granted free admission to the Chattanooga Zoo on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. After providing some form of identification, honorees will be granted free zoo admission for themselves and three additional family members.
Other local organizations that work with current and veteran service members will also be on hand to distribute information and resources.
“As a community, we are grateful for the service of our local emergency responders and military members,” said CEO Darde Long. “The Chattanooga Zoo is thrilled to be able to thank all of these men and women for their selfless service. It is our hope that these courageous individuals and their families will have the opportunity to step away briefly from their burdens and take some time to enjoy themselves and our many Zoo animals.”
Patriot Day at the Zoo will go from 10 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. For more information or questions, please contact the Chattanooga Zoo at: (423) 697-1319.

My husband built the first cage for the tiger. Things he has in life still astound me. As a kind and gentle person. that is all I ask.
