Chris Harvey Gets Early Jump On Sheriff's Race Friday, June 28, 2013 Chris Harvey, who has served as a detective and sergeant in the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, is getting an early jump in the sheriff's race. He said he plans to qualify in the primary next May. Mr. Harvey said, "Today, I'm announcing my candidacy for sheriff of Hamilton County. I make this decision with the full support of my family as well as many friends and fellow deputies and others throughout the law enforcement community. "As a career lawman I have worked diligently to keep communities safe for our families. As an Internal Affairs detective and later sergeant I have worked to make sure those wearing the badge have the highest level of integrity. With nearly 20 years of diverse experience, I am the lawman, as the Book of Esther says "for such a time as this." Harvey for Hamilton County SheriffEditor's note: After being forcefully reminded (Via numerous texts, emails, calls and pm's) I had stated, after the Inmate Billy Long Debacle, I would never, ever, never get involved (In any manner, shape or form) in a Sheriff's race.
I'll post related articles, opinions and links, but I will forswear off any comment until the day after the election.
So. That is all I have to say about that.
