WOOOHOOOOO!!!! WTG! Delicious steaks: Bottle of Terriyaki Sauce Fresh cracked peppers (McCormick has grinders @ the store & they work GREAT! - try the garlic / pepper one, too!) Cavender's brand seasoning blend (white/yellow/red container, near the cracked pepper) Big, sturdy fork Pierce steaks with fork, so that flavors seep in Splash meat with Terriyaki sauce - spread around so it soaks into the holes Grind fresh pepper onto both sides Apply Cavender's seasoning (lightly) Always use high heat when grilling meats (but not fish), to sear it & seal in the juices. After searing both sides, reduce heat to medium & continue cooking until reaching desired done-ness. --------------- Christmas bonus recipe! Saute pan REAL butter (not that 'tub' stuff) sea salt Sliced mushrooms (or fresh veggies, if you don't like mushrooms) Heat pan to medium-high & toss in some butter After butter melts, spread it around the pan, THEN sprinkly sea-salt lightly, all over the pan Let sit about one minute Spread mushrooms/veggies evenly in pan Turn every 1-2 minutes, until lightly browned Fight off spoiled kids, before they devour all the good stuff! Hope you guys enjoy.... and you should expect a group of your bestest internet buddies this June!! (What kind of beer / beverage should we bring?) Glad to hear you guys are having a good Christmas! Billy

Dreamy! I've never really used sea salt to cook with but I do know that mushrooms won't brown if there is salt in the pan when you begin to cook. Salt pulls the moisture out of the mushrooms and if you salt at the beginning, they just simmer in their own liquid. It's best to salt after you've browned them.

The steaks and corn on the grill were perfect. Ron did a great job with the dinner!! Two thumbs up...

Because I require grilled meat at least two or three times a week. It saves on dishes in the kitchen. Do I need to call my orders in or is email accepted??

Need a rub?
* 2 T. Sugar * 2 T. Brown Sugar * 2 T. Salt * 2 T. Ground Cumin * 4 T. Paprika * 2 T. Chile Powder * 1 T. Cayenne Pepper (maybe a little bit more Cayenne Pepper) * 1 T. Freshly cracked black pepper.
Mix all the ingedients together, cover meat liberally and rub it in. Let it set for a little bit then grill. I use indirect heat with this. Cooking directly over the fire causes the rub to burn. It will turn black even with indirect heat but it won't be burned.
