The state paid the various public defenders working on his appeals throughout the years millions of dollars. The longer a murdering scum lives, the more taxpayer greenbacks middling lawyers are able to steal ....

And then they'll try to get us to ban the death penalty because it will save us so much money. Brilliant.
Feh.
IIRC, the TFP said he was only the third to be executed in 47 years. It would be better if he were the 47th in three years, if you ask me.

I like that sheriff in Arizona's way of dealing with/housing prisoners.

In total agreement with that sheriff in AZ. Why should we coddle prisoners? There is also a pretty cool sheriff in Lexington, NC for that matter who thinks along those same lines. As for police officers and police shootings, my opinion for what it is worth is this.....If I disregard an officer's orders to show my hands or I do not follow his instructions to the letter in a high tension situation then I deserve to be shot. Why should the officer wait to be shot at prior to defending himself? Too many officers are penalized for trying to protect themselves. They have no idea what the individual they have approached is doing or what their intent is, if they are disregarding their instructions.
